A Luminous Atlantis
After years... years... of waiting to see this: it is true!
My childhood hero and heroine
~ Aquaman and Mera ~
are king and queen of the
SILVER SCREEN!
Lest it is royal couple of IMAX...!?
Ultimately, it is the enchanting CGI that
made Atlantis come to life
like never before in cinematic history
and the fast-paced action, certainly, as well as
storytelling technique of director
James Wan that made this a GEM;
however, each time there is a close-up shot
of Jason Momoa, I imagine what it would be
if it was Paul Walker as Aquaman
-as it should have been, but wasn't meant to be-
and, likewise, each time we see Amber Heard
I think of a few genuine redheads that,
over the long years, I imagined could have
played the part of Mera: Julianne Moore...
Jessica Chastain, perhaps...
or Bryce Dallas Howard?
Nicole Kidman as Atlanna
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta
and Patrick Wilson as Orm
were perfectly cast, in counterpart...
To see Dolph Lundgren in this
-he who was once touted as the perfect actor
to become a live action Aquaman-
was... shall I say, aquamusing?
And, overall, it was *awesome*
- to quote Momoa on this...
