Hmm...
Your fortune for today...
Good news will come to you from far away.
HA! Sometimes these fortune things make me LMAO!
What could this possibly be...
Lessee... I have got family pretty much all over
the place... the four corners of the world, yessir...
Could one of the wiseguys have croaked over and
bequeathed to MOI a small... fortune indeed?!?
Yeah... right.
THAT'll be the day when Dubya develops a BRAIN.

Oldie...
An evidently quite playful kind of friend sent me this in an e-mail...
"We do not stop playing because we grow old;
we grow old because we stop playing.
Never Be The First To Get Old!"
I retorted... "Hmm... Why, pray tell?
Because it gets old very fast...?"
*lol* ;) I am a riot... Right?
Blessings!

Give it our best shot..
Always.
Lest we are found to embody this truism...
Written over a century ago...
"For of all sad words of tongue and pen
The saddest are these: "it might have been."

Synchronicity...
Over the years of our passage through existence, we are often witness to little things that can cause us to pause and wonder... "is this a message? Is this proof that all of this has some meaning after all... in the Grand Scheme of Things, that is! Can it be that our petty little grievances and such *matter* to some degree - and were in fact predetermined to happen to begin with...?!?" Significant coincidence! Hmm... But there are NO coincidences... We ARE all actors in the film of Life... And true believers KNOW who the Director Is... ;)
They may or they may not mean a thing... however, they are quite funny oftentimes - these little bits of synchronicity... The way they tend to be so "à propos"... Such as that one time, so fresh to my memory... I lose this wonderful lady I am truly fond of... and then I see this quote on some site... like, the very next day... "if it was meant to be, it will come back" or something like that... Hmm... I love these bits of synchronicity... don't you? ;)
Blessings!

What Life Is All About...
"Life isn't about keeping score. It's not about how many friends you have. Or how many people call you. Or how accepted or unaccepted you are. Not about if you have plans this weekend. Or if you're alone.
It isn't about who you're dating, who you use to date, how many people you've dated, or if you've ever dated at all. It isn't about who you have kissed. It's not about sex. It isn't about who your family is or how much money they have. Or what kind of car you drive. Or where you're sent to school.
It's not about how beautiful or ugly you are. Or what clothes you wear, what shoes you have on, or what kind of music you listen to. It's not about the color of your hair. Or if your skin is too light or too dark.
Not about what grades you get, how smart you are, how smart everyone else thinks you are, or how smart standardized tests say you are. Or if this teacher likes you, or if this guy/girl likes you. Or what clubs you're in, or how good you are at your sport.
But life is about who you love and who you hurt. It's about who you make happy or unhappy purposefully. It's about keeping or betraying trust. It's about friendship, used as sanctity, or as a weapon. It's about what you say and mean, maybe hurtful, maybe heartening. It's about starting rumors and contributing to petty gossip. It's about what judgements you pass and why. And who your judgements are spread to.
It's about who you've ignored with full control and intention. It's about jealousy, fear, pain, ignorance, and revenge. It's about carrying inner hate and love, letting it grow and spreading it.
But most of all, it's about using your life to touch or poison other people's hearts in such a way that could never have occured alone. Only you choose the way these hearts are affected and those choices are what life is all about."

GOOD GOD...
We could ALL play God - each and every one of us!
What untold chaos would ensue...
All along the road paved with good intentions too...
"We create our lives each moment by the choices we make.
We can continue to live in darkness or we can choose the light.
We can continue to live in fear, or we can choose love.
We cannot change the world,
but we can change the way we choose to live in it,
and as we do, one by one, choice by choice,
the world IS transformed."
excerpt from... an anonymous source!
Nice... in theory. But kind of hard to put in practice... verily!
How can one truly "create" one's life... when so many ill-advised
decisions that affect our existence are taken by other parties...?
Sure... in a democracy, everyone has his say... up to a point, really!
Once the mistake has been officialized, the common man will have to put
up with the consequences... and shut up!
At such a rate, any small beneficial change the little man can instill
droplet by droplet, choice by choice, in this blamed world of ours,
will "transform" it way too slowly...
not even meeting the rate of transformations for the worse that the
unwise, harsh and corrupt will bring forth... under the guise of
"a good thing"...
Personally, I tend to agree much more with other peculiar/suspicious/odd
and unusual sources of wisdom, while at it, y'know...
"LIVING IS EASY WITH EYES CLOSED
MISUNDERSTANDING ALL YOU SEE
IT´S GETTING HARD TO BE SOMEONE
BUT IT ALL WORKS OUT
IT DOESN´T MATTER MUCH TO ME
LET ME TAKE YOU DOWN
´CAUSE I´M GOING TO STRAWBERRY FIELDS...
NO ONE I THINK IS IN MY TREE
I MEAN IT MUST BE HIGH OR LOW
THAT IS YOU CAN´T YOU KNOW TUNE IN
BUT IT´S ALL RIGHT
THAT IS I THINK IT´S NOT TOO BAD
LET ME TAKE YOU DOWN
´CAUSE I´M GOING TO STRAWBERRY FIELDS...
ALWAYS, NO, SOMETIMES, THINK IT´S ME
BUT YOU KNOW I KNOW WHEN IT´S A DREAM
I THINK, ER,NO I MEAN, ER, YES
BUT IT´S ALL SO WRONG
THAT IS I THINK I DISAGREE
LET ME TAKE YOU DOWN
´CAUSE I´M GOING TO STRAWBERRY FIELDS..."

And this is for the nice ones among you...
A bit of... luminous levity!
What if Shelley (Percy, mind you - not Mary!) were a fan of...
The West Wing!!!
PERCY BYSSHE SHELLEY
Ode to the West Win(g)
O White West Wing, thou breath of Abraham's being,
Thou, from whose unseen presence the bushes fled
Are driven, like ghosts from an impostor fleeing,
Yellow, and black, and pale, and hectic red,
Pestilence-stricken multitudes shall soon see red!: O thou,
Who chariotest to their dark wintry yet soiled bed
The winged seeds, where they lie - boldly so, cold and low,
Each like a corpse within its grave, lest it is Cheney, unalive until
Thine azure sister of the Spring shall blow
(Hmm - poetic pause here - is this another Lewinsky-to-be here...?!?) ;)
Her condolences o'er the dreaming earth, and fill
Driving sweet buds like flocks to feed in air
With living hues and odours plain, pestiferous and hill:
Wild spirit, which art moving everywhere; (yeah - everywhere that OIL can be found!)
Destroyer and Preserver; hear, oh, hear!
(The Americans - to a T!)
Hurray hurray - even in poetry can we hear, faint though they may be,
some unmistakeable chants for the American way! Hurray... :/
Blessings!
