many years ago,
stood a man,
he was pacing the halls of a medical facility,
the same building where he would give out his last breathe one day,
but on this day,
many years ago,
he was a strong vital man in his prime,
and he had just become a father.
He was a great father.
He still is - in spirit.
I am indeed just a living legacy of his goodness.
"His song is in my soul"
And I didn't pay him my respects
nor honor him near enough yet.

Dan Fogelberg was fortunate to have said it all -

before his sire passed away.
I was not so fortunate.
Mike & The Mechanics know how I feel
Despite being musicians just like Dan is -
they didn't get it all said in song
before it was too late.
They reflect on life as I do -
in many aspects...

or actually - an ascension to a higher state
of being and of consciousness - both

He crossed over - he was taken in - in the good sense
No matter what the mistakes we make in life
No matter what we regret not having done
when there was time to do so
No matter what we regret - either way
- we will not be held accountable too much.
God Knows what our intent was.
God Knows what's in our hearts.
God Knows - we're far from perfect
even those of us who try to be -
as His Son Told us to be.
And so, another birthday, to me,
is but evidence that a luta continua
