400 - for the 400th

I thought that, since this month, up north, they are celebrating the 400th anniversary of the rather accidental and nearly inconsequential foundation of a city that came to be known as "Québec" - I should do something special about it, here, and on the Saudades Blog. Something no one else will do - something that needs doing. I'll tally up a list - not just any list, but a LUMINOUS LIST, of course. A list that enumerates the four hundred worthiest souls I can think of, that have EVER lived, at one time or another, on the territory known as Québec today. This is not the "top 400" as earthly eyes would see it, oh no - perish THAT thought right here and now! This is the *LUMINOUS 400* that we're talking about here - most of which will be totally unknown to nearly everybody who will peruse this august listing! They are unknown to you, and Mr. Tout-Le-Monde and Mme. Tout-Le-Monde out there, within the boundaries of the "belle province" as without - but they are NOT unknown to GOD ALMIGHTY. And they will not go "unbeatified" or without praise of any sort before Him - on Judgment Day!
