Peace!
It was the International Day for Peace today.
And what have we done?
Have we sought to make peace with our enemy?
No.
Have we sought to mend broken relationships and rekindle that spark of fraternity that once existed between us and our fellow man...?
No.
Have we forgiven - and sworn, if only to ourselves, to forget as well - all the harm that has been done to us...?
No.
Have we sought to embrace adversity - and accepted it as a part of what we are, for without it, we cannot polish ourselves... our true selves; our souls...
No, we have not done that either.
So what exactly have we done on this Day devoted to Peace for ALL nations...?
We have hoped
and prayed
and probably dreamt
for... and of...
PEACE.
Peace only the Good Lord Can Bring us all.
