And now, hence, another selection of songs under the key of... luminous! Not 30, not 40 but 50 this time! That should make us all bide our time well until Christmas gift unwrapping time I think... Not that that is even remotely close to the true meaning of Christmas, of course... But that is another story for another blog post and another time - when I do have more time!

Luminous MP3 Player...!!! (Uh... AWOL)
(Much better than voluminous M.P.s, if you know what I mean, Canada! But I digress...)

This is one line-up that ol' Sarah Mac could only have DREAMED of though - regrouping world class talent in many different languages and styles; world music ("Musiques du Monde" does sound classier, somehow!) exotic latino beats, spiritual captivating rhythms, enticing melodies... This is the ultimate collection of the very best! As compiled by yours truly too...! ;)
This luminous compilation simply had to start with the luminous Hildegard Von Bingen - she's another one who could have made it easily to my All-Saints' Day list!
Only missing here are the late Ofra Haza (she would have been a fair representative for the defunct category, prevalent in this month of remembrance) and one or many bonafide, genuine *fadistas* - Mariza, Misia and São! :)
Save them for the next Luminous MP3 Player, you say?

UPDATE: since then (wow - LESS THAN A YEAR LATER!)
I have grown not only disillusioned with the service that I have received; I have grown irritated to the utmost degree by it! The 30 songs on the MP3 player were STUPENDOUS - and they did play continuously, for a short while... But then, a matter of bandwidth magically and mischieviously turned my 30 songs into 30 ten-second long highly-irritating messages that repeated, ad nauseam, the same thing: ''PLEASE CHANGE YOUR MP3 LINK WITH THE SNAPDRIVE MP3 PLAYER GENERATOR - GO TO SNAPDRIVE.NET FOR MORE DETAILS''
And not even a thank you or very basic ''SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE'' with that, no (or he would have exceeded his ten seconds!)
The devilish voice not only lies (the ''MP3 PLAYER GENERATOR'' is POQbum.com - not snapdrive.net! Snapdrive is a LOUSY, INFURIATINGLY INCOMPETENT, CHEAP, COWARDLY AND UNDERHANDED STORAGE SERVICE - no more than THAT! And the moment that you make a SOUND USE of their resources, they ask you for cash or do not - but go behind your back and undo ALL THE PLAYLISTS THAT YOU'VE METICULOUSLY PUT TOGETHER - to replace them with those messages, ON TOP OF THAT! AND THE MORONS REALLY EXPECT PEOPLE TO DO AS THE MESSAGE SAYS AFTERWARDS!!! Pathetic - some people really should NEVER GO INTO ANY KIND OF BUSINESS AT ALL! They have NOS SKILLS for it... No savoir-faire... But I digress...)
I can tell you right here and now that I AM NEVER GOING TO SNAPDRIVE.NET ''FOR MORE DETAILS'' -thay can shove their details into their cybera$$es for all I care- AND I AM NOT ''CHANGING MP3 LINKS'' (which means really UPLOADING THEM ALL OVER AGAIN - NO WAY, PAL! You take too long on your damn system to handle that anyway...)
I AM NOT DOING ANY OF THESE THINGS - EVER AGAIN!
I need to relax now - the ''luminous MP3 player'' is dead!
Let's absorb the loss with some fine music - relax with Enya!

Statistics Sundays
Big Cat Fact:
Three races of tiger - virgata Caspian, balica Bali and sondaica Javan tigers -- have become extinct since the 1950s.

It is estimated that there are less than 3,000 Bengal tigers left in the wild.
Tigers may drag their prey to water to eat. They are commonly seen in the shade or wading in pools cooling off.
Tigers kill their prey fast and efficiently - Tigers probably have only one successful attack in every 10 to 20 tries though.
The Tiger's Method To A Kill
Jaguars are the only big cats that regularly kill prey (especially capybaras) by piercing the skull with their canines.
A cheetah's prey chase lasts between 30 and 60 seconds, during which time it bats the prey down with a powerful paw swipe, and then bites the prey's neck.
That would be why I like tigers better - vampyric cheetahs and vicious jaguars just don't do it for me... Although, let it not be forgotten that a group of tigers is called an ambush...! I am not a cat person to begin with anyway, so... But that is indeed another story entirely... We have better tales to reminisce of right now though...

freaky friday stuff: striking out at the arcade - no, nowadays it's on the x-box...!
Performers on strike... video game voice-over performers that is... wow.
This is really all the proof we needed that the world is seriously going down the tubes... of insanity! *LOL*
What in blue blazes could these performers be complaining about now - their profiles were not properly shot? They are lending their voices to animated characters, for crying out loud!!! Kids and any fun-loving individual will do that just for fun - spontaneously and FOR FREE! *LOL*
This is even worse than this OTHER labor dispute - which was finally settled - or so they tentatively say - now, after 301 (three hundred and one) days of a lock-out that made, as many agree to say, NO WINNERS AT ALL.
Yep... I am comparing the NHL with video game hijinks... why not? As recently noted, right here - on the luminous blog...! - the game has already been announced and given a (tentative?) release date - NHL 2K6... Wow - they really were optimistic that the real NHL "superstars" would be playing (and not scab players - as I was personally hoping for!). NHL players held out for a better deal - and DID NOT GET IT. They, at least lend their likenesses and voices to video games - without making the fuss that the likes of Samuel L. Jackson are making... this when the bulk of his money comes from acting poorly when he actually is IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA... not hiding his basically expressionless mug behind a microphone! Oh well... he must absolutely need the extra income (maintenance workers cost so much these days! *LOL*).
Gimme a freak-ing break...! :\
